Rescue Efforts

Craig Bowe, who was renting a beach hut nearby, helped Musa onto a lifeboat. He told the BBC that the boy was "not in a good way" at the time. Three other people from the group were taken by ambulance to a hospital. The group had travelled to the Essex coast from east London.

Shahin Ahmed said the family had been swept away by a "very strong" tide. Detectives are speaking to witnesses to understand the circumstances of the tragedy. About 100 people attended a vigil for the three victims on Wednesday evening.
