Giving it back
The badge must be returned when it expires, if your condition improves, if it is damaged, if you no longer need it, or on the death of the holder. Harrow warns that continuing to display a badge you no longer need can bring a fine of up to £1,000.
One thing a Harrow badge does not do on its own: exempt you from the Congestion Charge. That discount is 100%, but only after you register the badge with Transport for London for £10, covering up to two vehicles. An unregistered badge holder pays the full charge.
