Croydon Council scrutinises Whitgift Centre redevelopment plans

Croydon Council has opened formal scrutiny of Unibail‑Rodamco‑Westfield’s pre‑application drawings for the Whitgift Centre site. The developer, which paid £31.5 million for the centre and adjoining blocks, envisions thousands of new homes, a large public square and high‑rise towers, with a planning submission expected in 2027.
