WorldIslington Council welcomes national ban on choking porn as it takes effect 6 Nov 2026
From 6 November 2026 the Crime and Policing Act 2026 will criminalise possession or publication of pornography showing choking. Islington Council praised the ban, noting its own multi‑agency clinical service has already handled 288 referrals for non‑fatal strangulation victims.

WorldCQC upgrades Ealing Hospital to Good and lifts urgent care at two trusts
The Care Quality Commission announced on 21 October 2026 that Ealing Hospital now meets Good standards overall. Urgent and emergency care at Ealing and Northwick Park hospitals also moved from Requires Improvement to Good, while children’s services at Northwick Park were rated Good.
