Met Office warns London faces above-average heat and drought into September

The Met Office forecasts above-average temperatures and possible heatwaves in London next month, while Thames Water reports a 15 per cent drop in water storage. A temporary hosepipe ban, in effect since 23 July, continues as drought conditions persist.
