FloodTaskforce

UK flood taskforce launched to protect 6.3 million homes

The UK government has set up a flood taskforce to coordinate preparations for an unusually wet winter. Around 6.3 million homes and businesses in England remain at risk, while Defra has pledged at least £10.5 billion in funding through 2036. The first meeting brings together national agencies and local leaders to plan protective actions.
