Ahoor Ramabark Fathi, 61, of Willowbrook Road, Southall, received a 12-year prison sentence on 23 July 2026 at Isleworth Crown Court. He had previously pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs, possession of a firearm and ammunition, and possession of criminal property.
The Met’s Specialist Crime Unit investigated the transport of large quantities of GBL, commonly known as the date rape drug, from Manchester to London. Detectives used phone data to establish Fathi's involvement.

During the investigation, officers searched a storage container rented by Fathi. They discovered 188 boxes, each containing 12 one-litre bottles of GBL. This seizure represents one of the largest quantities of GBL recovered in London, according to Detective Inspector Mark Gavin, who led the investigation.
Further items were recovered from a property in Ealing. These included £100,000 in cash, 456g of crystal meth, ammunition, and a firearm. Three addresses, two in Ealing and one in Southall, were identified as being used by Fathi for storing drugs and money.
Detective Inspector Gavin stated that the seizure prevented a substantial amount of the drug from reaching the streets. He encouraged anyone affected by drug use and exploitation crimes to report to the police, adding that the unit will continue to target organised crime groups supplying harmful drugs.
